Asuka excitement!!

I just got my copy of Asuka 3, yay! I flipped through it quickly aaaand there are two extremely pleasant bits of news in there that make my little fangirl heart jump for joy. Number one being the announcement of a new Yasei no Bara series!!! Aaah, I sense more Katsumoto-sensei greatness.

And number two is: They announced details of the seiyuu cast for the DNAngel anime TV series. I’m not a big fan of the manga BUT I’ll definitely have to watch that anime because Irino Miyu, HAKU’S SEIYUU!!!, is going to be the voice actor for Niwa Daisuke. I don’t know how many times I’ve rewatched Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi just for all the Haku-adorableness, part of which stems from his lovely gentle voice… aaahh… Irino-kun!! =^-^=

Winter-y distractions

Dir en grey’s Macabre is such a fine winter album, something I want to drown in at the moment. It’s nice to still be able to sing along to my favourite tracks on it even though I haven’t listened to the CD in about a year.

Picked up all my packages that arrived when I was gone for the holidays. I got Asuka 2. I really love this issue: Gouhou Drug’s on the cover, there’s also a Gouhou Drug clearfile (damn pretty!), new Gouhou Drug and X chapters. And Kazumi Yuana-sensei’s Fukai nemuri hana is getting better and better as well!

Aaand I got my Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi Roman Album yesterday! Ureshiii~ It’s very very beautiful. Unfortunately, there are lots and lots of Chihiro pics (as well as sketches and scenes and stuff) but only very little Haku ones ;_; But ah, it’s a really lovely book nevertheless.

Takanashi Mitsuba’s new series – Beniiro Hero

I love Betsuma 1/03! Just got it today and I can’t stop looking at it. Takanashi Mitsuba’s new series (Beniiro Hero – Crimson Hero) has finally started! There was a Beniiro Hero postcard in the last issue of Derama and I quite liked it, I also liked the few preview pics in the December issue of Betsuma, and now I’ve finally been able to read the first chapter. There’s something about Takanashi’s recent chara designs I don’t like that much (the chins?, the foreheads? I don’t know, but the faces look a bit weird)… the story is okay so far, nothing that hasn’t been done before but I won’t say anything negative after this one chapter… we’ll see!

Aaaand there will be an Akuma de sourou Illust-shuu!! More info on when the artbook will be out, how much it’ll be and stuff will be announced in the next issue of Betsuma (out in mid-January).
